There is something for everyone in The Woodlands! You can literally Live, Work, and Play in The Woodlands. Here is a list of some popular places, and things to do in The Woodlands!

The Woodlands Downtown - Town Center is adjacent to The Woodlands Mall, and a great place to find a larger variety of shopping and dining choices. Browse through the Mall for some great shopping then walk out to the Courtyard, one of the many outdoor shopping areas featuring restaurants like P.F. Chang's, Flemings Prime Steak House, and The Cheesecake Factory.

The Woodlands Courtyard is the major depot for The Woodlands Waterway Taxi. The Woodlands Water Taxi route is nearly 3 miles long (round trip), and takes passengers past the Waterway Fountains, The Gooses Acre, Lounge 1492, The Woodlands Marriott, and finally, the Cynthia Woods Amphitheater before returning to the Mall. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, sometimes called The Woodlands Pavilion or simply The Pavilion, is a concert amphitheatre that caters to both the performing arts and contemporary artists. The venue is host to countless performances of the Houston Symphony and major national entertainment acts.

Market Street - Although this outdoor mall area is a part of Town Center, the area warrants individual recognition. Market Street is a unique outdoor mall with a classic design. The area boasts designer shops, a central park with it's own water fountain for kids and several Restaurants, Starbucks, Ice Cream, Smoothies and more! Avia Boutique Hotel is scheduled to open Winter 2009.

The Woodlands Children's Museum - Located in The Woodlands Mall is a great place for fun, exploration, and discovery for the kids! It encompasses two floors and is a great place to go on a rainy day. The Museum is on the upper level and the play area is on the lower level!


The Woodlands Public Parks - The Woodlands has a large assortment of Public Parks ranging in size from small neighborhood parks, to larger parks complete with gazebos, covered tables, volleyball courts, softball fields, fishing, BMX tracks, and skateboard parks. Many parks also include the usual items such as swimming pools and tennis courts.

Movie Theaters - The Woodlands currently offers two local cinemas.. There are 2 Cinemark Theaters, one at Tinseltown by the mall and another one is at Market Street. Both Theaters offer stadium seating with high back chairs, and more than 20 screens combined. Tinseltown 17, offers a kids pack during the summer months while the Market Street Theater offers cine'art selections.

Outdoor Concerts - A major attraction of Town Center is the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion which hosts Popular Musicians on tour, the Houston Symphony, The Annual Children's Festival, Easter Sunday Services, Private Events, and more!

The Woodlands Waterway Square - Built to complement the San Antonio River-walk is The Woodlands Waterway. Take a relaxing stroll, or a guided tour on the Waterway Taxi and enjoy the amazing scenery and the Waterway Colored Lights Fountain.

Fore! - Attention all golfers! The Woodlands has courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicolas, Gary Player and Tom Fazio. Woodlands Golf Shops and driving ranges abound amongst the beauty that is The Woodlands.

Woodlands Pathways - Hike and Bike along more than 145 miles of 4' wide concrete pathways through the trees, with additional concrete pathways being built every day! The Woodlands Pathways, wind throughout The Woodlands linking neighborhoods, villages, parks, and shopping centers alike. The streets in The Woodlands have traffic controlled crosswalks, and the waterways have pedestrian bridges to help keep pedestrian traffic and vehicular traffic separate.

Town Green Park - One of the most recently built parks is across from the HEB - Woodlands Market at Market Street. Town Green Park has a children's labyrinth and access to the pathway along and around The Waterway. Walking along the Waterway you might see Ducks, Egrets, Turtles, and of course, Fish. Additionally, you can also get a 360 degree view of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with multiple access points, as well other business's along The Waterway.

Add it all up and there is A Lot of Things To Do in The Woodlands and many of them are FREE!
